Idols of Nandi, the bull are found outside the temples of Lord Shiva. Young maidens visit the temple on Mondays, to pray for a good life partner.
Here is what Nandi thinks about them, as they pass through after patting him on the back.
He sat there forever, awaiting a gal
to marry him here, and take him to the mall.
The girls came here to worship and pray
Their devotion to the Lord never going astray
He was the answer to their prayers, if they only had the gall.
