Storming the bastions

I stormed the bastions

of my inner self

to weed out

dependence, insecurity

resentment and envy.

Anger refused to go

it protects my interest

against attackers

taking me for granted.

It helps me against

stubbornness and evil

of those

who refuse to see reason.

    1. This is tricky. Anger is useful as a driving force for action , or an act of self-defence. Self-defence reduces vulnerability. But anger makes you vulnerable to so many other forms of retaliation or reactions.
