I am not Gautam Buddha

Prosaic poetry

is so insufficient

to capture life.

I am not Gautam Buddha. There are myriad shades of life. Joy buoys me, while pain drains me out. Pain scalds, and leaves its scars on the psyche.  Happiness is used as an anaesthetic, a painkiller, a sedative or tranquilizer to ease the condition.

Intensity hits

happy and sad mindsets

enveloped in pain.

  1. As a Buddhist, your words were especially poignant to me. I like to think we have pain and sadness to make us appreciate the good. Well done my friend. Your emotions are raw in this piece. ❤
