I see lighted lamps in the river, and candles at the altar
Will the absence of these, make the human mind wander?
Do we need the Bible, Koran, Gita, Talmud or Torah?
Will the absence of these cause the human steps to falter?
You cast me in your mould, and designed a warrior
I am grateful for just being me, not any other fated horror.

Thanks for joining in with the Weekend Writing Prompt. I really enjoyed reading your poem. It’s very powerful, and “Grateful for just being me” is a great sentiment to end with:-)

Great questions you raise! I believe we need a relationship with the true God, as revealed in creation and his Word. “Grateful for just being me”…that is beautiful, Reena.
