Arjun, Khushi, Sammy and Anshula had just stepped out of the calm waters of school life, their marksheets still fresh, their dreams of becoming doctors glowing like lanterns. It was their first week in the medical college hostel.
At night, the seniors gathered like shadows, their voices echoing through the corridors.
“Sing the anatomy song!” Malaika demanded, while another insisted, “Recite the cranial nerves backwards!” Nervous laughter spilt from the juniors, their innocence tested against the roaring rapids of ragging.
Arjun’s voice cracked as he sang, Khushi’s cheeks burned as she mimicked a professor, and Sammy was made to balance a stethoscope on his nose.
The river had been serene so far, but ahead, their simple raft faced some serious rapids.
Yet, beneath the chaos, Anshula whispered, “We’ll survive this. Rapids don’t last forever.”

That is true, to push through and their dream should fly.
