Dots and shapes

“Mom, she stole my pencil.” “Both of you are supposed to share stuff, so it isn’t stealing.” Time flies, and the birds are old enough to fly the nest. “Mom, since we will both work in the same city, sharing an apartment will save cost.” “Be prepared to lead separate lives, as your priorities change….. … Continue reading Dots and shapes

The Unseen Reaction

The Unseen Reaction ….. by Richa Thankey

Richa Modha's avatarMy lingering thoughts

Countless beings roam around.
How did these bodies their way to this Earth found?
Of course it was the union of two souls,
But not just a mere single reaction in womb’s bowls!

The whole cosmos was in favor of the moment
Strong desires, from heavens, perfectly sent

The emotions mingled,
And the ego shredded.
Two paths merging into one.
Bliss that emanated, shone!
Thoughts twinning of two minds,
And ripples produced by good vibes.

No scope of negative intrusions.
Just the colors of a new life’s radiations!

Genes got passed on
And behaviours carried on.
Few new traits evolved
And some features replicated.

Two nuclei fusing into one
Happy dreams played the catalyst in the run.
Protons reacting from the crust to the core,
Positivities sailing on the shore.

A fate being written in a rhyme –
A journey of a new lifetime!

Two cells in a space confined…

Sita screamed and got up to realise it was the same dream again.

“What is the meaning of these dreams which are appearing frequently. Should I share this with Raghu? Is there any connection to my personal situation?” Sita was confused and battling in her mind.

Raghu woke up hearing her scream and asked “What happened? What are you thinking?”

“Aa.. Ammm.. Nothing. It was an unusual dream”.

“I am seeing this from the past few weeks. You are stressed about your current pressures from my parents. Its ok honey, I am with you. Its all left to our fate and Karma”, He consoled her and patted to sleep down.

“Do you believe in dreams coming to true? I do. I have experienced it many times. Anything I see more often in my dream will have some meaning and it comes true. I wish this should have a good message…

Come into my parlor, make yourself comfortable, sit with me while I spin you a tale of two lost souls.

Silvie, sipping her Summer wine, brooding on life’s injustices.

Freddie, buzzing around, frantically searching for an elusive goal.

Silvie, quietly scheming, La Revolution.

Freddie, unable to relax, craving excitement.

Silvie, scurrying forth in search of a victim.

Freddie, roaming the city streets, zooming in on Silvie.

Silvie, relaxed, pondering the ‘Rise Up’ sign attached to a lamp post.

Freddie, rushing to make contact.

Silvie, waiting, calculating.

Freddie, buzzing, full of eager anticipation.

Sylvie, slyly enticing, offering forbidden fruit.

Freddie, besotted, eager, accepting.

Sylvie, offering a brick, and call to action.

Freddie, adrenaline pumping, accepting her token.

Sylvie and Freddie, turning the corner into an explosive chemical reaction.

The mob, all colours, shapes, sizes, egos pressed into a maelstrom of seething fury.

Chaos, hysterical laughter, broken windows, trampling…

Over the years,

The jars of mind,

Accumulates different things,

Knowingly or unknowingly,

Some that it sees,

Some that it likes,

Some that it fears,

Some that it hears,

What is it to unload some of it,

Once in a while,

Will we ever know?

If only we try,

Unlearning to learn.
