Fear Psychosis
https://open.spotify.com/episode/4vrIJZSfrup8zYPLNbSgoa?si=e7b9333626a84a35 What if this happens? You can’t imagine … The refrain is familiar. It’s the same fear psychosis that gripped his father. His father ended up with an obsessive compulsive disorder of locking things. He fears his wife’s online interactions with an imagined enemy. Seeing the purported enemy online gives him jitters, and he yells … Continue reading Fear Psychosis

Impact
At the end of the week, Aiden mustered up the courage to go into his father’s room. He immediately sensed he did not want to be there. This is not the person on whose shoulders he had grown up. This man is a stranger with sunken eyes and a blank look. Then a light shone … Continue reading Impact
Tunnel mysteries. #Tankaprose
Tunnel mysteries….by Jude Itakali
Shall I pen thoughts I cannot voice
Or shall I dream and let these nightmares haunt?
The open road is a wicked one
Whether black or yellow-bricked, the devils still prowl
The long dark tunnel is a coward’s bane
For many, brave and foolish, have perished within
Yet through that tunnel, my fantasy lies.
Winds of change
Must you always blow-
Fear with hope
Must you always come!
Can’t my soul find rest

Were I to pen the thoughts I cannot voice
I’d write that outside that tunnel, the story never begins
The fearful will linger, and maybe even thrive
But the wistful scent of dreams, will forever waft from the other side
And while dreams are often sought, nightmares can always find us!
Snail on my window
Born of sea yet dead by salt
How cruel thy fate!
Am I the deer in headlights
To live…

the hush and echo
bounces off peeling walls
as steps taken add more tones
on entering a tunnel
filled with the notable remnants of the past
an appreciative glance escapes my face
spirit-filled adventures await
challenging me for more exploration
and invested imbibing
My reluctant footsteps….
My reluctant footsteps ….by Sadje
On entering the tunnel my heartbeat went into an overdrive
The boom boom echoed in my eardrums rendering me slightly deaf
Sweat drip from my pores as my claustrophobia takes charge
I don’t want to go forward but there’s no other option
This is the only way………
The way to exit this maze of bewilderment
This passage is narrow, obstructive, and limiting
My reluctant footsteps seek to find the desired destination
I fight with my instinct to turn back and cede defeat
But fight I must as this is the only way
To find the light that resides at the end of the tunnel

Tunnel Of Love
Tunnel of Love ….by Jim Adams
On entering a tunnel….. my head was flooded with all of these sexy thoughts about being able to grope her and maybe get some sloppy tongue-kisses, while we were alone in the dark. I wondered if we would be able to do some dry-humping on slow-moving indoor boat ride. I had never been on a romantic boat ride before, but I knew that the darkness would provide enough intimacy for us in this place where any public display of affection would be frowned upon. I met her on Facebook where we were immediately drawn to each other and we arranged to meet at the State Fair, in front of the booth where she was showing her prize pig. She had a 280-pound hog named Elmer who she put a lot of work into to get him entered for the Best in Show competition.
Her name was Alicia and she had…
