Sitting down at the dinner table, finally! Only after a ten hour work day, driving my youngest teenage son to his soccer practice afterward, a row with my seventeen year old daughter about the mess not only she had bursting through the seams in her room but left everywhere she went! A trail followed behind her like Lionus from the old Charlie Brown cartoons, that was her. Except, the dust cloud of chaos followed behind her, generally, and not all around her. But, something had changed this evening.

I did notice she was eating very slowly and watching her covertly, I could tell she was having difficulty eating. Several emergent scenarios ran through my mind in a matter of…

It is new, a brand new idea
I’m sure when you pay mind to it
You will be convinced that it’s brilliant 
And not only you but thousands more too
Will testify to the greatness of my new idea


What do you mean?
You aren’t impressed by my idea?
You don’t think it will revolutionize the world
But……..


Not everything new is better too
Just because it sounds novel
Test it first and its merits 
And then decide if it’s a good idea 
Or not!

Well, you’d think being nice would guarantee sanity. The hard truth is, it often doesn’t.

The conundrum of :-

• Do you have to react because someone is mindlessly saying negative things about you and your loved ones or just let them get done with their gibberish?

• Do you have to react because they misunderstand and say something “cleverly” and say you also do so?

• Do you have to react when no one understands you and yet somewhere deep down you know you aren’t wrong?

• Do you have to take everything to heart or just let things go, even if the ones saying are your loved ones?

The things that offer me sanity :-

• Well, I can’t control anyone else’s behaviour except mine .

• People react according to their circumstances and more often than not is a reflection of themselves than anyone else.

• No one is…
