…the dress hugged her body like a child to mother’s bosom, comforting every curve…
hair and makeup skillfully applied, grand masterpiece of illusion…

…emotion stood, enticing in streetlight halo, shroud draped and steadfast…
weeks of wear, broken blockade signals fear, knight in shining armor…

…deliverance offered, rescue shines, blinding blue…
secure in silent suffering… grand masterpiece of illusion

Dream Erosion —

By Tim Boiteau He dreamed of erosion—everything smoothed out beneath roaring, gritty winds. The dreams plagued him during the daytime. Pictured his office and coworkers obscured in a dun-colored haze, sanded down in sped-up motion. Walls and clothing unraveling. Desks, computers frail and crumpling. His therapist arranged to meet for a session in the dunes: […]Dream … Continue reading Dream Erosion —

ICONACLASM –

the breaking of established rules,

Xploration challenge

It is a common conception that a man can love many women,
And a woman like me, should only love one man…
But is it my fault that they all love me,
And that I love them…

One, whose embrace thrusts me into realms of unbridled ecstasy
Whose slightest touch ripples through my body –
butterflies that send my heart racing
And tingles of desire that arouse my deepest primal lust

Such that each thought is an epiphany
And each rumination improves me.
For my world can never be dull with him.

Falling in love

paeansunplugged's avatarpaeansunpluggedblog

If I had one more heart

I would readily give it to you

And to you, you and

perhaps to you too!

But you see, the one I had, is already taken

Yet everyday, I keep falling in love

unplanned and spontaneously

my senses so easily enraptured

I fall in love with your sunrise

I fall in love with my dusk

I fall in love with traditional cooking

When the heady aromas envelop

I romance aromatic baking

For it brings a smile on my kids’ faces

Makes my home smell heavenly

And store bought cookies replaces

I fall in love with the angelic tangle of arms and legs

now asleep without a care

Whose sibling rivalry and revelry fill my home and heart

As well as my life and soul

I fall in love with your words, your turn of phrase

What you say and what you leave unsaid

I…

It’s an element that creates illusions.  I switch off the flattering lights around the mirror, and they are horrified by their own ugliness. Fear grips them. I’m the enemy. I’m the force they need to crush. I’m the iconoclast. … Continue reading Iconoclast
