WDYS # 123 -A Roundup post

This brought the Ukrainian refugees to mind.

Sadje's avatarKeep it alive

The red illuminated sign invited travelers
Come hither, here we have a place for to stay
A beacon signaling refuge,
safety, and a place to rest
A signal for the weary to stop and break the journey
Come now, won’t you stop a while?

The Peak

I am —-- (a symbol or metaphor) so that —------- (whatever I can do or help others do) to —--- (its impact on the world) I wrote this sentence at least 10  times  after being in different states of meditation. Somebody introduced me to genome mapping, which claims to tell me what should be the … Continue reading The Peak

Finding the right path

Finding the right path ….by Sadje

Sadje's avatarKeep it alive

The beginning and the end of our lives

Is the same for all, prewritten, predetermined

We are born and then we all die at our fixed time

There hasn’t been a different start or ending

For any mortal till the human race has existed

What is important, is what happens in-between

How we reach from one end to the other

What transpires in this journey is what’s vital

Our choices, our decisions change the path we travel

The destination doesn’t change but the journey does

We all will die, but some will leave an indelible mark

On the canvas of life, remembered for long!

Uncharted Path!

Uncharted path …. by Radhika

radhikasreflection's avatarradhikasreflection

For many, life is a race against time, to reach the top,

they tread on, with an unflinching focus.

While the peak beckons me,

its allure, is not strong enough to lure me.

I would rather choose routes undiscovered,

meander on the cobbled pathways,

be lost in the maze of the unknown.

My dirt laden feet, walking on the muddy trails would gather untold experiences,

soaking in the spirit of nature, witnessing miracles unfold.

My chosen path in life may not give me success,

I may falter at the crossroads of life, be lost,

but it will armor me with enriched gratification.

Alley

i am alone in this dark alley
muted, my soul will be
i run for refuge, no hand to hold in a crowd so huge,
i can’t find my way
every door bolted
so tight, leaving no air to breathe
i am desperate and drenched in hate
why am i alone?
oh, life, why have you treated me so kind
yet beaten me so hard?

i can taste the void, and it blankets over me
so I write to find a cure
so someone might know i exist
but the words don’t work
that dark alley is still the only place to be
muted
why am i alone?
oh, life, why have…
