in this cup of life I find
you and your brother
God has been too kind
in this cup of life I find
I forget all the toil and grind
when I hear your laughter
in this cup of life I find
you and your brother

Where is my teddy?

Midnight and the sound of baby crying

Mom turns on the light trying to open her eyes, glued together by sleep.

Daddy is sleepingpeacefully, not a stir from that side of the bed.

She goes to her room and is greeted by hiccups and heartbreakingsobs.

What is it my darling, why so many tears, mommy has tears in her voice too.

Where is my teddy? she sobs out.

A smile flits across moms face.

She bends down and picks up the teddy bear from the floor near the crib.

Here you go my darling. The teddy must have fallen while you were sleeping.

The baby settles down and mom returns to her bed, in an attempt to get few more moments of sleep.

My Haikus

1.) Oh my dear baby
did the bright sunlight disturb
you and wake you up.
2.) My little one were you scared
to see your bunny’s
shadow on the floor.

3.) My adorable

darling child it’s too late
for you to still be up.

As I look into the lens that is shaped like a cup I see a child standing up in a crib shaking and about to throw down his or her toy bunny rabbit. There are toy airplanes and helicopters hanging from the ceiling and a teddy bear toy on the floor. Mom is turning the night light off that is on the nightstand as you can see the brightness…

Word Of The Day Challenge – Zone

Reena’s Exploration Challenge # 101 – Moving on to this week, here’s an image prompt….

As a grown man looks into the conical zone

of his mind’s memories captured with silhouetted shadows

filled with the pain of his early childhood traumas

he remembers a frozen moment in time as a young boy

seeking purpose and waiting for an answer, he

stood still holding the lamp switch and it was then

that he heard from two angels appearing as airplanes

and they began to speak this message to him

that would forever change his life:

“In order for you to fly My son, you must turn on the light

to chase away the dark shadows of your past, and move forward

into the plan and promises I have waiting for you.”

The boy then, although fearful turned on the…

PROMPT

The limitation this week is 100 words, though there is no restriction on the format. It can be prose, poetry, essay, reflections, reminiscences, anecdotes or anything you deem worth sharing.

What does this image invoke in you?

Taking the first step is very difficult in whatever field you venture.

All the negative thoughts start frightening you.

Then there is the fear of what people will say, Perhaps we are more worried about others opinion than our own capability.

No one actually bothers about you.

People have their own fears to fight with.

The only two-faced demon is your mind.

At first, it keeps you pestering with all the negative thought.

Once you make up your mind to go ahead, it starts helping you.

Hard work, perseverance, passion, and faith

opens the door of infinite opportunities for you.

Reena’s challenge #100 is to write 100 words, poetry or prose on above image.

I believe in the one God, the first cause. outside of time and space, infinite.

I believe in the one son, made concrete by the abstract, to show us a path to love and understanding.

I believe that I do not exist but for the grace of God.

I believe that I am forever changed by the grace of God.

I believe that I should grow, learn, love, and forever strive for the infinite.

I believe that I am one person overwhelmed by the concept of infinity.
