‘Lajmi to nahin’ … by hecblogger (Amit Agrawal). English translation in Comments section.

hecblogger's avatarPlaying with words

Magic happens when ….

This is a magical shard, I’m told, and I believe it when it speaks, “I need to join my counterparts again to be truly effective. The energy will flow only after we connect, and create a channel for the supernatural. Without it, I’m just a piece of glass.” So, I set around looking for the … Continue reading Magic happens when ….

Reena’s Exploration Challenge #71 – Getting it Right

Getting it Right — by Michael

We spend most of our lives thinking we need to get it right. Often it leads to many anxious moments especially when you realise we’ve basically stuffed something up.

Some people stress over not getting it right believing they are made to look foolish or incompetent in front of peers especially.

No one likes to be thought of as wanting and it takes a lot of ‘growing up’ to understand you can’t always get it right, you can’t always succeed and you have to learn to deal with failure.

When I was a drama teacher one of the sayings I used was to say to a student who had an idea for a performance to give it a go and see what happens.

Sometimes it didn’t work, but most times I found what might not be their best work could be adapted to produce something they were more often than…

Getting it right, how important is it?
Important in some ways but not really
As long as we try we have to commit
Getting it right, how important is it?
Do the best we can for our benefit
As long as it sparks joy and we’re free
Getting it right, how important is it?
Important in some ways but not really*

No Matter Where I Turn, I Meet Myself

An essay on awareness …. by Leonard at Len’s Diary

lensdailydiary's avatarlensdiary.ca

I entered my grade 11 class at Holy Name of Mary, Catholic High School to see Robert holding his usual morning audience. Upon seeing me he shouted , ” Did you see your loser friend Jordan Peterson on YouTube last night , crying like a little baby”. My insides tensed and I felt like flying across the room and smacking him in the face. Instead I ignored him and walked to my seat. Jordan Peterson is a professor of psychology that I follow on YouTube. He suffers from depression and occasionally cries when he get emotional over issues concerning the plight of young men with a lack of direction in their lives.

The first lesson of the day started and my mind kept drifting to the writings of Kosho Roshi that I had been pondering the previous night. What did he mean when he wrote, ” when I took my…

The book sale is a long-awaited event for her. She finds long-forgotten stories, buried secrets, treasure troves of wisdom at incredibly low prices. Whoever said there is a price to be paid for wisdom was dreadfully wrong. Once upon a time, there was Truth

Once upon a time, there was Truth, invoking people to live with a head held high. The sledgehammers grew taller than the people, and Truth lay on the ground – bludgeoned, battered, bruised and beaten with people walking all over it. A new era emerged – with manufactured content, strategic digital marketing and stories superimposed … Continue reading Once upon a time, there was Truth
