One minute of Childhood…. by Anju
Kids amaze us as they develop
with joys from their simple gallop.
One minute, see them smile in nap
the next is a loud cry of hiccup.
No stress on planning a next step
always eager to play and clap.
Years of growth slowly do envelop
to create the “I” in full buildup!

Tick Tock..... by Eugenia
English translation of the poem in Comments section ….

ONE MINUTE
The words need not appear in your piece – but the spirit of that unit of time, what it can do to change things, or why it does not matter to us should be there.
Just one minute!
It just take one minute
To tuns life upside down
Shake it sideways and upend it
One moment we are here planning
For the next forty years and then
The next moment time is telling us
Not to be so sure about the next breath
It can be just over in a minute, the dream
Of years that we dream and plan about

the shadow looms large looks at me with hollow eyes my illusions end free and unguarded, while I will live again darkness befalls him I wonder what held me here sky is my limit -fears in my head?
Moments of love and parting …. by LadyleeManila

I said hello you said hello
Then we both know
There’s love within
My yang to yin
Enjoy every minute with you
With coffee brew
Day goes so fast
We have a blast
Longest minute when you said bye
You left I cry
My heart shutters
Everything blurs*

Perspectives change in a minute …… by Michael

It wasn’t until after the incident, which was all of one minute, that I realised how significant it was, and could have been.
It was a day like any other, I had finished work and there was a parent/teacher afternoon on, but before that, I went to collect the ironing from our ironing lady. My wife and I both worked, and we had six growing children, and there wasn’t a lot of time to indulge in such things as ironing.
What was to be a short trip turned into an event, which woke me up to my own mortality.
I stopped at the corner to turn left when I noticed a car coming towards me at high speed. Normally the distance the car was away was enough for me to turn and carry on my way. Whether it was instinct or my guardian angel, I don’t know, but something told…

One minute wonder -- a poem by Deepa (syncwithdeep)
Welcome back, friends! Last week’s enthusiasm showed that we all love a good fairy tale, whatever our age or stage in life. Some of us took a different take on that picture. At what point does our perception change? Is it only creativity, or experience that triggers a different outlook? PROMPT The theme for this … Continue reading Reena’s Exploration Challenge #73
