Cross I bear

my lonely, scalded soul groans so often on being unfairly chosen for the cross my tears are nothing, but lava molten just why should divine justice be so gross I drag through the day, and then sleep morose   one morning… my inner eye awakens I see no reason to be so shaken it's all … Continue reading Cross I bear

I dreamt

I dreamt I was the moon. Miraculously, the underbelly of the world revealed itself – crime, conspiracy, concealed hostility. I swelled in size gradually, as I internalized the gory tales. I wish I was the Sun, scalding all…. but it was a moonless night again. https://dversepoets.com/2019/07/22/prosery-2/

Making of a criminal

This toy gives me immense satisfaction, especially while watching WWF on television. I treat my enemies the way I want to. It is catharsis. Today, I see them swimming out of the well. Maybe, they have a soul… but they failed to see mine. I push them back again. (259 characters) https://katmyrman.com/2019/07/23/twittering-tales-146-23-july-2019/

Lose myself, did I? ….. at kittysverses

My first days in this enigmatic world, here,

Wholly dependant I was, ever endear,

Slowly, the firsts of teething, talking, walking,

Experiencing the firsts of independence, never balking*,

The place where I was at first, helpless,

Is where I found strength in hopefulness,

My first days in an ocean of knowledge, school,

Unknown, I was of any rule,

Slowly, the firsts of social skills, life skills, academics, sports,

Experiencing the firsts of knowing the real world, in its own course,

The place to which I lost the safety of home,

Is where I found strength, in its knowledge, I roam

My first days at work,

Transitioning from informal friends to formal professional network,

Slowly, the firsts of practical knowledge, contacts, appraisals, perks,

Experiencing the firsts of accountability without a jerk,

The place where I lost the cocoon of my student life,

Is where I found strength in its application, in…

Reena’s Exploration Challenge #96

The two sentences for the prompt this week are fairly simple, and yet not so simple.

This is where I lost myself

This is where I found myself

————————————————————————————————————————-

Unconsciously
I entered the forest
as if in a haze
in a haste
to explore as much as I can
quickly
and in the process
got lost
There is so much to get lost
In the forest called life
I was unprepared
Didn’t know the jungle rules
When panic subsides
Calmness takes over
I turn back
I find
The way to go back is the same
which brought me here
the same will
take me to where I have started
Time wasted
or
Lessons learned
To find
I have to start  again
but this time
with consciousness

Those unkempt guys…

They congregated up in the hills, far away from judging eyes. They looked rather unkempt in distressed denims, straggly hair and unwashed/unshaven faces but carried the latest devices. They spread out to different spots and remained busy on their equipment. Seven hours later, the skies turned  a dark grey with rumblings of thunder, and the … Continue reading Those unkempt guys…
