Inspired by Reena’s Exploration Challenge #128

every negative situation
has the power
to become a positive force
for cultural shift

lives are lost
but lives will be saved
in the future
from what we learn

life’s path
takes a different turn
our day to day changes
becoming a new reality

gleening a possibility
of hope in this evil’s demise
in the following days
it begins during these troubled times

Reena’s Exploration Challenge #128

Reena's Exploration Challenge #128 Welcome to a bit of exploration in lockdown times! I’ve decided to use text messages and posts, no videos or pictures, to reduce data usage and prevent a internet breakdown. The cover image remains for identification, but you are free to not use it in your posts. An internet breakdown will … Continue reading Reena’s Exploration Challenge #128

Safety

The brand storyteller rambles on incessantly, “Let the world know who you are and what you can do.” I feel the warmth when they think they have a new follower, but see expressions freezing when they see I can lead. “You are targeting the wrong set of people”, says my mentor. There is yet another … Continue reading Safety

Tale Weaver – #268 – Medical – 26th March

A message has been floating around on social media Wonder why the temples are closed Because Gods are all busy in hospitals I miss the only doctor in the family today. He passed away a year ago. If he had been alive and healthy, he would have been volunteering in a hospital today. Why did … Continue reading Tale Weaver – #268 – Medical – 26th March

Presentiment

Presentiment …. by Punam

She sat in rapt attention

at the open air midnight soiree

enthralled by the elegance

of the lyrical verse flowing

from the mystic poet’s lips

bathing her parched soul

with a longing so intense!

when his ballad spoke of
death and parting

it creased her delicate brow

and for a heart-stopping moment

she was awash

with a feeling of deja vu

as if listening to her own

obituary, many moons ago

when the amethyst sky was suffused

with a million celestial bodies

yet the eerie cawing of corvids could be heard

as her soul had ascended the heavens!

shuddering involuntarily

she came back to the present

was it a dream, a nightmare
or a premonition

of the tragedies to befall!

she yearned for days of tranquility

when life was not complicated.https://reinventionsreena.wordpress.com/2020/03/19/reenas-exploration-challenge-127/https://jademwong.wordpress.com/2020/03/23/poetry-reunion/https://lifeafter50forwomen.com/2020/03/23/what-do-you-see-22-march-23-2020/https://amanpan.com/2020/03/23/eugis-weekly-prompt-elegance-march-23-2020/https://reflectionsofanuntidymind.blog/2020/03/24/corvid-2020-weekly-challenge-1/

I don't know how

There is a scene in “We the Living” by Ayn Rand, where lovers are being separated and taken away to Siberia. They know they will not survive, yet the girl says, “Let us look at the moon every day, and find solace that we are looking at the same moon.” They needed a unifying factor … Continue reading I don't know how

Dream-like

"You will see the figure shrinking in size, as more of purple smoke is released in the air." "What is it made of?" Agni was impatient as usual. He lobbed a hand grenade in the figure’s direction. There was no fire as expected, but the figure disappeared and the sky turned dark. Is it the … Continue reading Dream-like
