Wide-Eyed

Björn Rudberg (brudberg)'s avatarBjörn Rudbergs writings

I palmed a polished pebble
sensed its surface — skin-
like; stayed silent,
strong between my breath
and seashell-sounds of self.
I talked to scents of spring
spiderwebbed myself
an earthworm…
listened to my heart
drawing circles
in wide-eyed lucent dreams.

Responding to Reena’s challenge # 133 ” OUTLASTING THE FICKLENESS OF FAME.
https://reinventionsreena.wordpress.com/2020/04/30/reenas-exploration-challenge-133/

“If my theory of relativity is proven successful, Germany will claim me as a German and France will declare me a citizen of the world. Should my theory prove untrue, France will say that I am a German, and Germany will declare that I am a Jew.”

― Albert Einstein

There are millions of wonderful singers, actors, artists, writers and generally very talented people but only a very few become famous. Fame once gained must be cherished and held close with the help of public relation companies and image makers to ensure the public image remains untarnished. For fame is fickle and can be washed away in an instant by the tide of public opinion. In the Golden Days of Hollywood celebrities would bask in their public image, protected by the powerful studios, their private lives never…

Outlasting the fickleness of fame

Outlasting the fickleness of fame …. by Aishwarya

kittysverses's avatarKitty's Verses

Being dependable like the majestic tree,

Rather than mindlessly sway for materialistic greed,

Probably would outlast the fickleness of fame,

At the end of one’s game.

Labyrinths

Found Poetry all these transformations metaphorical and paradoxical insist on being read something crucial shifts an empty space waiting to be inhabited by the self.   Meditative labyrinths lead to the same centre until you feel the urge to enter stepping into ‘liminal space’   In the labyrinth you don’t lose yourself. you find yourself. … Continue reading Labyrinths

English translation in Comments ….

hecblogger's avatarPlaying with words

English translation in Comments …

hecblogger's avatarPlaying with words

Spotlights Burn

Spotlights Burn ….. by VJ Knutson

VJ's avatarOne Woman's Quest

She amassed children while
he pursued accolades

Family photos display
northern shorelines
tanned faces, white-toothed grins
parents not represented

Lost her childhood
at the bottom of a ravine
laid beaten and shattered
no one came to rescue her.

Guess that’s what drew her
the his light; money, she hoped
would not abandon her.

But muck tracks the same
and children need feeding
and absent a co-parent
she sleeps most days.

Offspring learn independence
a product of adults’ disarray
outlasting the fickleness of fame.
