Come! the ocean calls
Beyond that barrier reef
Across those jagged banks
Away from protections long used

For progress lies beyond your lonely peninsula
Enlightenment glistens from over the horizon
And hope drifts in currents unexplored

Come! your future calls
Outside your familiar
Where breakthroughs lie

Mankind lies on the threshold of harmony with nature.
A few bold steps to take
A legislation away
Beyond our fatal comfort zone
Breakthroughs await

For while we think, time wanes. – 6wordstory

Bastard Hall

I hear the term ‘bastardization of business channels” in corporate corridors and smile inwardly. People talking about it are responsible for bastardising talent or capability based systems in a way, that talent does not recognise itself. I guess the culture is getting at me, and simultaneously getting under my skin. It takes me more than … Continue reading Bastard Hall

Final victory

Final Victory ….. by Shilpa Nairy

Shilpa Nairy's avatarShilpa Nairy

I just ran and ran without turning back this time. I could feel the heaviness in the breath and intense pain in the muscle but my gut feeling kept me going. Finally stopped to realise its getting dark. I can feel the heavy cool breeze hitting me. I could hear the surge of waves and tides.

I stopped. Took a deep breath and looked around.

Sigh!! Oooohhoooo. I made this year!

She was put into a hostel at an early age when she was just five years old by her stepfather after the demise of her mother. Initially, she was happy to get rid of his mistreat and be happy in the hostel but even hostel place was not different than that of her previous life. She was suffocated by the abuse and mistreat of male staff dominance in the hostel. The fear of loneliness, no clue of the…

“Is that you, Nostradamus?” “Unfortunately, yes … the world is not willing to forget me, though I’ve left it far behind.” “You left behind a lot of confusion. breakthough-to-the-other-sideTHIS WEEK’S WORDS come from “In the Fourth of July Parade” by Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer: middle, braids, back, times, grace, swimming, bliss, simple, make, gate, joy, parade

Swimming in the unknown
With grace to fight what’s there
Number of times to err
Simple just to bemoan
Such joy if we are shown
We could make it I swear

Parade of challenges
Don’t go back but face it
Such bliss we’re to admit
Fight one so challenging
Even with damages
Go on and never quit

As we open the gate
So proud and feeling great*

The End

His words cut deeper than a knife. But it was not he first time she heard that. She had lost all respect for the man, who had continually been subverting her existence, and insulting her for years.  Her completeness made him aware of his inadequacy. Her calmness triggered a storm of negativity in him. A … Continue reading The End

Delving deep

“I am alone in a dark hospital room, after a plane crash.……” He was sobbing on the bed, surrounded by monitors to keep his physical state in check, and the therapist sitting besides him with a calm expression. “Come out of it. That lifetime has ended. You are fine now. Digging into this past life … Continue reading Delving deep

Reena’s Exploration Challenge #144 — What will it take?

What will it take? …. by Jade Li/Lisa

Lisa or Li's avatarTao-Talk

What will it take to breach the wall?
Allow yourself a diff’rent view?
Consider I’m the same as you?
You must or else we all will fall.

A virus scourge that beats them all
Is out to slay and hack and hew
What will it take to breach the wall?
Allow yourself a diff’rent view?

We must not fall to one so small
Please wear a mask as all must do
Until nineteen’s in our rearview
Or face our specie’s last death squall
What will it take to breach the wall?

Today’s offering is in the form of a rondel, which is A French form consisting of 13 lines: two quatrains and a quintet, rhyming as follows: ABba abAB abbaA. The capital letters are the refrains, or repeats.

Reena’s Exploration Challenge #144 : Breakthrough

Stressful lifestyle is one of the major factors that cause an emotional imbalance in people today, leading to many mental health challenges, depression being one of them. It is extremely important to identify this issue and provide timely intervention and counseling to such patients, in the absence of which it may lead to suicidal tendencies too.
