Clipped

Jim Adams gives us a "We just Disagree" theme song for the Music Challenge this week. The video clips that I give below may appear to have an oblique connection with the theme song, but are entertaining. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mg2NnYJVD6k And one more in Hindi with English subtitles. This is a visitor from another planet, who … Continue reading Clipped

Welcome to, Reena’s Xploration Challenge!

Reena has offered us a lovely picture to serve as inspiration (my cover). My submission comes from watching too many catfish episodes of Dr. Phil …as far as my husband is concerned lol

My Submission:

This is my favorite photo. She took it just for me.

We’ve never met in person, but she calls me her husband, and I call her my wife.

She’s stuck in Africa at the moment.

I’ve sent her loads of money, for food, legal fees, her hotel.

But, I don’t mind.

I love her.

I sold my car and then my house to send her money.

But, I don’t mind.

I love her.

She calls me sweetie, her pumpkin pie.

I know she loves me too, and I would gladly give my life for this woman,

My wife.

We’ve never spoken on the phone and we haven’t Skyped,

But…

Close observation is something we miss on a regular call. Well, I had faces and expressions on mind, so here's this week's prompt. Scones

I’m lying on my deathbed, thinking about the good times, like the weans when they were young, and the grandweans too, and the bad times, like when we had to pawn my wooden leg to buy food.
I know I’ve not got long to go, but I’ve still got my sense of smell, so my heart leaps because my Dora, she’s always been so good to me, aye, she’s baking treacle scones, my absolute favourite.
I can’t make myself heard – my voice is only a croak now – so I drag myself out of bed, hop painfully to the top of the stairs, and slide down on my…
