Old Friend

artiecamenzind's avatarArtie & Stu

an acorn falls
rippling my reflection
but we are meeting
for the first time
I say aloud

I say to nobody
my reflection returns
with something more
than I had before
an awareness of impermanence
awe of greater force
in a little acorn
that can make me
disappear and appear again.
