P.C :- RXC #242

vulnerability-
that moment of hesitation you cease to be yourself
hesitation-
that moment of expectation you invest in others
expectation-
that momentary trap, betrayal lays for you
betrayal-
that moment of choice serving as a ladder for growth
choice-
that moment of successful redemption
success-
that moment of vulnerability which goes unnoticed.

Genetics

I met a cousin after 24 years. The last we met was at his wedding, and his daughter is 21 now.  She is unusually friendly and eager to mingle. I’m tired after the journey, but she keeps firing questions, “You were fond of reading in childhood, weren’t you? You spent time alone in your grandfather’s … Continue reading Genetics

Two Planes

Two planes ….by Shashikant Dudhgaonkar

These lines are written in response to a prompt on https://reinventionsreena.wordpress.com/2022/08/04/reenas-xploration-challenge-242/

Two Planes

Two planes flying trying to reach

Somewhere high, at great extremes

Flying above even the clouds

Where they can see

Both sun and earth

Its a dizzying feel

At supersonic speeds

When everything on ground

Swiftly recedes

Sun looks far, never in reach

Yet at a touch of button

They can raise a sun

To leave behind

A scorched earth

Machine hearts

Machine hearts … By Benjamin

Above the screams of innocent civilians …Read on for more

Benjamin Nambu's avatarDiary of a Wanderer

“I want to be a soldier!”

It’s been his song since childhood

Inspired by Batman

And the other guy who gums and ‘degums’ himself from buildings to save a girl in danger

Little did he know that soldiers wear uniforms

Much larger than the passion to defend the defenseless

It’s only from high up here

Above the screams of innocent civilians

Does he realize how noble ambitions can be driven into the heat of madness

Look up …. by Sadje

Sadje's avatarKeep it alive

Write whatever the image brings up in you.

Flying high in the sky

Their intent deadly

Raining death on people

From high in the sky

They spread mayhem

On orders from above

Their feeling or conscience

Not involved in their actions

Do they ever think about

The consequences of their actions?
