“Why doesn’t the phone ring stop? I’ve pressed all buttons.”

It was early morning, way early for anyone to be waking up. But I heard the alarm go off somewhere. Was it mine I wondered?
I looked for my phone. It was lying innocently silent and dark. But the alarm tone kept on ringing every few seconds. It was close by but not too close. Perhaps it was in another room? Maybe one of the kids had left their cell phone with an alarm on in a secret location?
I checked everywhere but found nothing. Except the irritating buzz buzz. I don’t know when I went back to sleep, wondering about that insistent buzzing but when I woke up in the morning, it was all silent.
Phew! Talk about double edge to modern technology. On one hand, it gives us the convenience…

That happens when you produce somethingstupendous; everyone wants your ear to make the next big deal, feature you, or showcase you for their benefit. Revel in it, darling, for you may end up a one-hit-wonder. There’s been a ton since the beginning of the music industry. You know how this business is—so fickle. So enjoy this while it lasts, and for goodness’ sake, start working on your next hit!

Why doesn’t the phone ring stop? I’ve pressed all buttons. I am waiting in breathless anticipation, and constant desire, but it keeps on beeping, even when there’s no one calling me. I realize that it beeps when I get new emails, but I think my phone is lonely and just looking for attention, as I hear this beep in spite of the fact that I didn’t get any new texts, emails or voicemail. What on Earth is my phone trying to tell me? It’s a royal pain in the ass for me to have to go through all of the settings on every single app to see which one is causing this, but I guess that would be the only way I could figure this out. I don’t want to have to spend several hours trying to rectify this issue, so for now, I am just going to ignore it.
