The Phoenix Myth

scalding words intended to diminish end up as seeds for a heightened sense of individuality   I look down on the ashes of a bond that once defined my boundaries of living   I burn but just enough to induce belief in myths of the Phoenix   (44 words)

Smell of Moonlight

Moonlight smells of insomnia and dreams. I hear the sound of late night revellers and graveyard-shifters. I think about the crimes being committed somewhere. I feel the chill in the air as the street dog curls up in her sleep. I sip a few more drops of alcoholic imagination. I see my blank screen, as … Continue reading Smell of Moonlight

COSMIC SHIT

Intense!

NEKNEERAJ's avatarExposed Emotions

How often I wish to chop you up,
smudge you down,

Core Beliefs.jpg
For this challenge I want you to examine one of your core beliefs. Some possible examples “Man is basically good.” “No one will ever love me.” “We grow through adversity.” “Everything I do is pointless I am just going to fail anyways. ” It is better to be kind than right.” You can illustrate this belief in a poem or story or you can tackle it in a psychological/spiritual discussion. If you choose to go the discussion route please include how this belief has benefitted or hindered you. If it hinders you consider a healthy/alternative perspective. Do you know where this belief originated?
