Once upon a time, I made sure that doors did not close behind me. The future was exciting, but uncertain, and I wanted my support systems to stay intact.
Today, I don’t turn back to look at the footprints I’ve left behind. Some are blown away by the winds. Some leave an impression on wet sand.
There is fluidity ahead, and I’m happy to go with the flow.
a life left behind
well-lived, yet not ideal
I let myself go

What a way to live! If all lives experienced that, we’d be better for it. 🙂

Reena, I love this piece, ‘I let myself go’ is a powerful statement, a moment of self-awareness, a hint of a struggle between the desire for an ideal life and the acceptance of one’s reality ♥️
