It was here that the Queen of International Cuisines wrote her first recipe. She glanced at the ingredients on the shelves and painted poetry on paper. She felt the fragrance and flavors emanating from the notebook.
She hired two assistants to implement her culinary design. Lo and behold, she became the most popular author of culinary books.
โShe had a refined palate, no doubt. We tweaked the recipes to suit popular taste. Her books never acknowledged us,โ said one of her assistants after the Queen passed away.
Famous last bulimic barbs and spilled secrets marred a star’s cultivated delicious reputation.

Interesting and well crafted story, Reena. I enjoyed it.

An interesting story, and all about cookery books. I have a lot of those!

Do you refer to those books, or just turn to Google?

I mean proper books… real books… ones that live on my several shelves! ๐

I’ve reduced those over the last few years, as the first instinct in the morning is to search for a recipe online. And since our phones can ‘hear’ us, the algo starts showing recipes if ingredients are mentioned in conversations.

Ah yes, that seems like real life for people working with celebs and influencers. Nicely written.

Reena, I believe there is always the untold (true) story of the sour grapes. Of course the grapes must be discredited as sour. We must have our heroes, right?

Heroes are like David created by Michelangelo – chip away everything that distracts attention.

It takes a whole village to create a cookery book
