choose the road
where each milestone asks
Is this where you wanted to be?
choose the silence
that compels you to speak
to release locked destiny
go with the wind
let it rearrange your thoughts
it lifts the dust of old decisions
lets it flow in rivers
to meet the sea where
they are transformed
beyond recognition
choose your direction
not by compass
but the subconscious ache
-a quiet rebellion
against inherited maps

I know there is no connection, but your words remind me of the slogan from the Army from years ago when I was a child, “Be all that you can be.” Enjoyed your thoughts, Reena!

“-a quiet rebellion

I think we have all grown up with our set of inerited maps – that attempt to continually define who we are expected to be – not nescessarily who we want to be or are.

kudos to the rebellion spirit. Innovative take, Reena. This reminds me of ’ खुदी को कर बुलंद इतना, कि हर तक़दीर से पहले खुद बंदे से खुद पूछे, बता तेरी रज़ा क्या है. ’
