Multiple Meanings

It’s not yet fall, but an unhinged, red leaf blows over my feet. The clouds will soon deplete themselves, as the sky rewrites its message. An illusion of a blue roof has long fooled us.

retrograde planets
conspire to reverse the flow
of stories deemed true
I redesign illusions
with pain and enlightenment
