Crushed Colours

I recall the time I learnt stained glass painting. It was the age of solvent-based colours, and we had to keep stirring the pigment slowly with the solvent with a wooden toothpick. Any mistake at this stage would cause the paint to crack later. The lead liner used to hold the paints in till they dried was also made by hand.

Soon after, ready-to-use kits on Amazon took away the pleasure of creating stained glass masterpieces. And I’m not talking about the advent of AI. All this happened much before that.
