Faith works wonders, they say
Faith is the best medicine we have
What kind of placebo is this?
It numbs you to bridles and whips.
I’m called out for breaking norms
I’m labelled a traitor sans fire-arms
What kind of jury is this?
Defense unheard; judgments passed
What the majority says is religion
I can communicate only in pidgin
What kind of theism is this?
Hyperbole rules; reason amiss
Faith puts mindsets in a frame
Puppeteers begin playing their game
What kind of leadership is this?
soothing sounds conceal a hiss
You wrote paeans to solemnity
What passed you by was singularity
What kind of awakening is this?
Unconsciousness seems like bliss

A powerful write.
These words:
“Faith puts mindsets in a frame
Puppeteers begin playing their game
What kind of leadership is this?
soothing sounds conceal a hiss”
People listened….they complained about the price of eggs…..they ignored and laughed about the Haitians eating dogs and pets in Ohio and believed it…they laughed when their “leader” made fun of a disabled person….they believed him when he said he had no idea who wrote Project 2025 and didn’t know what it was….they thought the snake’s tail rattling was a marimba band…..and now “they reap what they sowed”.

Leaders of other countries flaunt past camaraderie, suffer tariffs and blind followers say “T is a man who can deliver” just because their leader supports him.
I don’t understand lack of objectivity in thinking 😔

Thank you, Val! I don’t go with organized religion at all. All kinds of power games are played out there.

It happens… I’ve found that spirituality isn’t absolutely tied to organized religion. 💚💚
