The girl who paints murals of fierce goddesses on crumbling walls silently declares herself unaffected by judgmental remarks. I cannot help but notice the dark clouds she paints overhead in some places.
Natasha is labelled as being overambitious when she stakes her claim to a leadership role in the company and offends others vying for the position.
The parents who talk about their daughter’s professional achievements and circumvent questions about her single status at 35 signal change.
The grandmother who encourages her athlete granddaughters to make a mark in the Olympics and ignores negative comments displays progressive thinking.
It is not only the patriarchy that can close ranks against criticism; independent thinkers are here in every generation.

I would love a world where we let each person achieve as much as s/he can without having to worry about the definitions others put upon us as to who or what we are.

It is an ideal situation.

Nice graphic at the top of your blog. I like how you have displayed the name REENA with each letter on a cushion-like background. It is a very colorful way to brand your blog.

I will always hope my granddaughter can achieve her dream. Perhaps one day she will be a pilot.
