Malleable

We spread our arms to receive blessings from the Universe, and thunder strikes.

It is only an announcement that God’s bounty or forgiveness will not take us anywhere towards Nirvana. We were created imperfect with a mission to achieve near perfection, and it is a rocky road with no shortcuts.

The self-appointed agencies of God have exacerbated matters by defining perfection to suit their interest and turn people into pliable putty.

Thunder changes us into a misshapen mass of atoms, unrecognisable in mirrors—unrelated to our badge-like identities.

This liberates me,  for I can now choose the identity I want.

    1. Thank you, Diana! I’ve lived a life with my mother lamenting the ‘lack of perfection she wanted to see in a daughter’ and my partner calling me 98pc perfect in initial stages and reducing the score as we moved on in years. I just rejected imposed norms of perfection. I am not in this world to please others.

    so true.

but, they are but half the ‘problem’.

Leaders, benign and beneficial do not create followers. They only offer a rationalization for us to forego our responsibilities to ourselves.
