menacing
shadows
crouch behind
shape-shift
-to scare
-to dare
till I stretch
my hand
to touch it
feel them melt
in my palms
crumbling down
like cigarette ash
-remnants
of past bitterness
blazing embers
of aching memories
I give my regards
to past lives
and bid goodbye
to breathe free

A concise and beautifully crafted poem of transformation, Reena…

To break free takes some effort… love the way you get there.

Love this! I wasn’t sure if this album would tickle anyone’s muse but here it is. A descriptive interpretation of the image and I like the way you pulled in “I give my regards”.

I found the image very poignant. The words were pulled in later. Thanks, Mish!
