I float to the window,
find the world staring back at me
impervious, unconcerned
as it has always been
-the moon dissolves
on the horizon
-the sun jumps up
It’s business as usual
Another tiring day
proving its infallibility
and omnipresence
I look back at the body.
in peaceful slumber on the bed
Heave a sigh of relief
I don’t need to prove anything
to anyone
any more…

Reena this is a delight! To be able to float into day is a lovely gift to the self!!

There is freedom in this piece Reena. Liberation. May each morning start like this; eager anticipation rather than trepidation and regret. 💪💪

Certainly a relief when you can feel that tiny bit of freedom from comment or criticism.

This one got to my heart. Sometimes I can really relate. Than would I wish I don’t need to pretend anymore. That it could be done. Over and out. Nothing to…anymore.
Thank you. This is brillant.
