grains of sand
lost particles
oystered by luck
strung together
lend a regal aura
to a swan-like neck
many others of their ilk
trampled upon
by the same queen’s
dainty feet
-know
grooming matters
more than lineage
destiny matters
more than ability
Unfairness rules…

A thought-provoking take, for me.

“oystered by luck”
is a great line, Reena, in your existential poem. We can only guess and do the best we can.
