I wonder who taught you that word
Commitment-phobe
and what made you think of me?
I walked away yet another time.
and hoped to put you on the rack
I heard you calling out from there
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
Call it destiny, a twist of fate
We came face-to-face again
You chose to cross my path, mate
For a reason I find insane
I shall be telling this with a sigh.
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
I met someone when paths converged
And that has made all the difference

the prompt for the “puente” (bridge) poem is for Tanka Tuesday – the prompt for W3 is to write something about your experience of waking up in the morning and looking out the window ❤

Sorry, I mixed up the two prompts. Will write tomorrow.

Excellent, Reena! It’s fascinating how sometimes people leave your life for a while then surprisingly return to it.

Very good take Reena. I used these lines too, but my poem is quite different.

Two people can have the same theme, but with a different expression. Looking up yours…
