Sameness

“Back home, we were called a lemon set. We are four sisters who are not quadruplets but look almost the same. We’ve taken after our mother.”

“Did it not feel derogatory to be called a lemon set?” quips the interviewer.

“For a while, it did, and we dressed differently. However, now that we all live in different countries, our sameness is a matter of pride. I often ask my  sisters what they will wear for forthcoming special occasions.”

“And then?”

“All of us choose neons to shine bright.”

The actor’s heartfelt smile and lime green outfit brighten up the studio.

    1. I recalled an interview of an actress who mentioned her family was called “tea set” in jest, because the mother and 6 sisters looked alike. It was many years ago, but the thought popped up on seeing this image.
