nature’s rebellion
In the form of storms
makes me wonder
about yet another symphony
a windchime in open air
a lullaby during the day
or yet another tsunami
waiting to envelope
a groggy consciousness
validate a seer’s predictions
bringing about an awakening
to survive and thrive
or a predestined end?

I wonder too why we don’t know how to thrive.

It’s like an analysis of nature’s moodiness. I love it! Brilliant take on the prompts, Reena.

A neat combination of prompts, Reena! I love the way your poem begins with ‘nature’s rebellion in the form of storms’ and ends with ‘a groggy consciousness’ and a question. I was delighted at the mention of ‘a windchime in open air’ – my husband gave me some windchimes properly tuned by a musician, which hang in the willow tree in our garden and the wind really does play a symphony!
