Punch line

He was rejected for lacking social grace and having two left feet, but he was getting used to it all.

“You are getting too comfortable with your single status,” whined his mother, who had always been too involved in his personal life.

“That is my friend’s daughter, Nyla, who will be staying with us for the weekend,” his mother interjected as she read his thoughts.

He had spent a few nights in the office, where he felt most at home, flexing his mental muscles to think of a punchline for this commercial.

When he unexpectedly found himself face to face with Nyla, the  girl who had rejected him, he responded with a witty quip,” Copywriters exercise their brain more than their feet, and the result shows.”
