Soul Talk

The past sears
like a brand upon my heart

fraying at the edges
interlacing threads of yesterday with today

Yet, forgotten is
much better
than remembered
& despised.

The spirit that resides in my soul
The entity that makes me who I am

the footprints left
at least a while,
before
the wind & waves
have washed away
all traces left
of me?

Awareness expands.
shimmering in unity
I am one with life.

We often think of reality as what is going on around us
Many external things come into play, affecting our life
But those physical interactions are not what is really going on
“In reality,” it is really what is going on within our soul
