Reena’s Xploration Challenge #331

Welcome back!

Today, I invite you to mull upon the word

Dictionary meaning

belonging to or characteristic of the middle class, typically concerning its perceived materialistic values or conventional attitudes:

A bourgeois person:

“a self-confessed and proud bourgeois”

You are not compelled to use the word in your piece; just flow with the images it conjures up.

Does it remind you of a character that resembles or opposes a bourgeois person? Is there something in history, politics, sociology or economics that makes you think of this class?

Is it too boring to hold your attention, and would you rather escape its clutches and land in exotic places?

The format of the piece is not restricted, and there is no last date either unless you wish to be featured in the Weekly Wrap.

We will not include any post that is found to be offensive, vulgar or hurts ordinary sensibilities. This needs to be a safe space.

Create a post on your blog and copy-paste the link in the Comments. If you use a pingback, check to see if it has worked.
