A room in a box

I need to shut those doors
from where interference flows
mocking shadows talking of
what I should do or can’t do
ghosting what I can do better
than them; need to keep them out

I found a box and put a room inside

It’s a custom-built space for peace
The box is silence and irreverence
It protects my doors and windows
let them stream knowledge inputs
everything that fires creativity
restores well-being and sanity
I don’t care what gossip they carry
to feed mills that fill their hollowness

I found a box and put a room inside

I thank the room and the box
that allow me to breathe free
Shall I ask them if they like me?
Nope! not necessary – we co-exist
but live independent lives
we support but do not criticize

I found a box and put a room inside

  2. An inspiring bop, Reena. I like this box that quarantines, as it were, the room inside, tailor-made for “silence and irreverence”, protecting “my doors and windows/let them stream knowledge inputs/everything that fires creativity/restores well-being and sanity.”
