Uniqueness

It takes courage to stand alone.

It takes time to accept that you may be shunned by a community for being different.

There is someone out there pouring venom because you dare to reach out for something they did not think about. It takes protective armor to keep the sarcasm from damaging you.

Uniqueness is carving your soul to be whatever it was meant to be. And it is a lot of hard work to discover its true purpose and meaning.

Uniqueness may attract encomiums in an art gallery, but is looked down upon on the streets where masses rule.

  1. I have found that uniqueness tends to hurt those that cannot “be” unique. It’s not like they don’t have the ability, it is just that their perspective narrows into absolutes, so they don’t seek the uniqueness within themselves, and reject it.
