Moving goalposts

Life is not a jigsaw puzzle to be solved.

But putting together pieces of what actually happened and how I would have liked them to be compel a lot of reflection.

Because there is a why attached to every conclusion. The preceding observations and hypotheses jump into the picture.

Sadly, the frameworks or contexts where I see the same observation have changed. So, the conclusions also need to change.

I’m not static. I’m constantly growing, evolving, and changing perspectives. The broader your canvas gets, the more acceptability increases.

Whatever I’ve always known and lived by is right. But something else can also be right – in a different setting, for a different person.

If I have to summarize my year in short, it broadens my mindset to enhance acceptability.

  1. ‘I’m not static. I’m constantly growing, evolving, and changing perspectives. The broader your canvas gets, the more acceptability increases.’ That’s the right attirude.
Best wishes for 2024 to you and yours, Reena.
