Educated, but dependent

“Don’t trouble your pretty head about money …. I’m there to manage life for you”, is an oft-repeated remark Aurelia hears from her wonderful husband and is grateful for it.

She is a chartered accountant who audits financial transactions of large corporations, but finds this domestic arrangement cosy.

“I’ve been thrown out of the house, and my husband has taken charge of my hard-earned money and assets”, wails her domestic help.

She sets out to help the maid as much as she can, and questions her own financial independence.

Months later, she has launched a startup to make women financially literate.

    very much agree.
    not always welcomed, challenges are, as you point out, necessary for growth. one doesn’t get stronger lifting the same weight.
