“It happened a decade ago. The girl died after being assaulted in a subway at midnight.”

“Was the case still open? How did you reach the criminal?”

“A flight of stairs going down, down … I can see the next step of stairs going up. I wanted to be there, but never reached that point.”

“I don’t get what you are seeing.”

“This is how a child described her trauma in past life regression therapy. She painted the criminal’s image quite well, along with the name plate on his uniform. That memory was our only clue, but the criminal confessed.”
