autumnal thoughts to announce
the first month with sleet
exhorting beds to cope up
minds to think, not hibernate

I’ll see you walking
sturdy boots trampling sloth in
late winter garden
sharing warm secrets with winds
chilled – till they change direction

host campfires at night
carry messages from moon
-blanket by the fire
incubating ideas
for impending growth season
