Jumping the gun

“They’ve set fire to a sacred place”.

“Fire can work in two ways. It destroys everything it encounters, converting it to carbon footprints. It can also ignite minds and hearts to do something that has never been done before”.

“It sounds good to this point. The point is whether those ignited minds and hearts make positive, proactive or reactionary moves”.

“I’m seeing the glow….”

“That is a choice we need to make. What do we see, and how are we going to let it affect us?”

“I don’t want to be a carbon footprint, whatever path I need to take.”

  1. Whether the reaction is to a real or artificial attack hardly matters in the end – it’s unlikely to be beneficial for the people on the ground.
