Not Healed by Chicken Soup

souls are not healed by chicken soup
they need something
chunkier than destiny
fairer than cream
stronger than a seasoning
to differentiate
between life and dream
and all that lies
in between

souls keep moving
with immeasurable force
they touch earth again
and yet again
pulled by gravity
question Karma justice
with gravitas
but receive no reply
-once again, they fly
in sacred spaces
between blocks
of the universe

souls are immortal
consigned to cycles
of mortality
-swinging between
gods and demons
asking for retention
of lessons learnt
lost opportunity
-spared from memory
on a life-giving tree
-magnificence of the soul
not healed by experiential soup

  1. Reena, this speaks directly to my soul. Thank you!

    Your lines:

    “souls keep moving
    with immeasurable force
    they touch earth again
    and yet again
    pulled by gravity
    question Karma justice
    with gravitas
    but receive no reply”

suggest to me that we may be kindred spirits in some ways – i’ll love to explore more of your site x
