Greta and Gavin

Greta had many names, many identities and a trail of frauds unleashed on unsuspecting victims who fell prey to her beaming smiles and unabashed glamour. She was a widow who needed money to pay for her husband’s funeral, a student who needed tuition to finish her degree, a traveller who lost her passport and wallet, a businesswoman who had a lucrative deal to offer.

Gavin, a police officer, outsmarted her by promising a hideaway on an island he purportedly owned, and she found herself under arrest.

“You know, I always believed I was the character I played and that made it so convincing,” she looked into his eyes in the police van, “but this time around, I’m not the woman swooning over your charm.”

Gavin felt the cold touch of a gun on his temple, and Greta was taken away by her associates in a waiting helicopter.

Mission Accomplished and Mission Aborted – at the same time.
