Mis-life

Happy runs fast as he chases something I can’t see. He looks frustrated about missing a target.

I realise it’s a housefly he can see across the glass of sliding doors.

I wonder if the life we lead is a ‘mislife’ or missed life – something that exists outside a glass window, but is unreachable.

Then, I look at Aria, contentedly sleeping in the corridor with no fan or AC. There’s a nip in the air, and she has found her comfort zone.

The life lesson is sinking in.

A question remains – does the comfort zone lie inside me or outside?

P.S. Happy and Aria are hyper-active puppies
