A Final Use …
By tiredhamster
Another thing is removed
from their world. Yes, they are
mere things, they know this,
but their value is not yet
done. However, the hand
has to free itself, grasping
the lamp, the pictures,
the tapes, all things suffused
with memory, and pulls them
towards emptiness. Soon,
all these objects will just be
mere objects, demolished
and deformed, living dark
beneath nameless heaps.
And now the rooms are
empty of desire, the objects
and their master gone
as the dust reclines within
a space the years no longer
intrude.
Written for Reena’s Xploration Challenge #284 the prompt being “She’d forgiven everyone and emptied her home of all that gave it meaning.”

Wow, beautiful poem.
